Increasingly, I have had to deal more and more with bounced email that appears to come from my domain. I get well over 100 messages every day where the sender appears to be an address in the jimmo.com domain. I can assure you that they are not from me. These SPAM messages typically have usernames like "smte50n2" or "o0l5". All of the addresses I use make some kind of sense, like "linux_info" or "corrections". They are never random characters like the other usernames. If you look at the stuff this SPAM is trying to sell, you can see that it has nothing to do with my site. It is obviously someone trying to divert attention somewhere else. In such cases, my suggestion is to address complaints to the owner of the site with the material being advertised, as they are ultimately responsible for the content.
However, if it becomes too much of a problem, please feel free to contact me and maybe we can work together to stop them. If the Return-To address has an account within the jimmo.com domain, send me the message with the complete header of the message. Do not send me just the contents as that doesn't help. We need to know the exact path that the email took.
Sorry for any problems this may have caused. However, I assure you once again that I am not sending it. Further information about spam can be found here.
